12 Years a Slave 2013
Solomon Northup is a free black man with a family and music business in New York City in 1841. Solomon lives perfectly well and happily with his family as a happy and free man. One day, she meets and talks to two men for a music-related business, and after this deal, she heads to Washington for business, but the business deal she thinks is actually not like that at all. Solomon is knocked unconscious at the first opportunity by his deceivers and sold to a ranch somewhere in the South of America. While living a happy life as a free person, he is suddenly surprised at what he has gone through. His life was suddenly turned upside down. He must learn to endure the painful and violent days he went through during his slavery period. He has to hide from everyone that he knows how to read and write, so that even being able to read and write is not welcomed. Solomon, who is constantly humiliated, cannot find the courage to rebel, and no matter how much he tries to persuade the slaves he works with to escape, no one likes this situation. He has to find a way to reunite with his loved ones as soon as possible, and after exactly 12 years, a perfect opportunity has appeared before him. While the famous director named Steve McQueen is the director of the movie 12 years in captivity, the leading roles of the movie are shared by names such as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Brad Pitt.
