The first meeting of a boy and a girl takes place on a plane. Fresh out of college, Oliver (Ashton Kutcher) has a busy schedule and big plans for the future. That's why he travels all the time. Her biggest dream is to find true love in her private life by being successful in her business life. Emily (Amanda Peet) is a free-spirited girl. He always does what he feels like and goes after his wildest passions without hesitation. Two different life choices... Two mismatched perspectives... Oliver and Emily's lives seem to intersect at different times, but it's clear that they don't belong together. Although they cannot do this together, they cannot be completely separated from each other.
