Two bright young graduates from Stanford are recognized as computer geniuses. Gary Winston (clearly referring to Bill Gates), the owner of a giant company called NURV, wants to recruit these young people for a project involving a complex satellite communications system. Two of Milo's friends (Ryan Phillippe) accept the job after being seduced by his artist girlfriend (Claire Forlani), but the more idealistic Teddy has other plans. Milo, whom Gary Winston takes a special interest in, works intensely with his colleague Lisa (Rachel Leigh Cook), whom he met there without being ashamed of his boss. However, after a while, he realizes that the project is actually extremely malicious and is used as a pawn for a purpose that he does not approve of...
