Taking its English name from the song Tindersticks composed for the movie, Two Sides of the Knife is about a passionate love triangle. At three corners of the triangle, there are three master actors of French cinema: Juliette Binoche as Sara, a Parisian radio show host; Vincent Lindon as Jean, the retired sports star lover; Grégoire Colin as François, Sara's ex-lover, whom she left for Jean. One morning (by chance?) Sara and François cross paths. Sara gets the feeling that her life might suddenly change, and then things get out of hand. Claire Denis and Christine Angot wrote the screenplay, adapting one of Angot's novels, Un tournant de la Vie; The duo also collaborated on the 2017 movie Let the Sunshine In.
