Barton Fink
(1991)Barton Fink 1991
1940s New York socialist playwright Barton Fink is forced to accept the possibility of coming to Los Angeles to write a movie script. She settles into a hotel where she meets Jack Lipnik, the head of a movie studio. He learns from Lipnik that his screenplay is a pretty b-movie. Even though he manages to type just one sentence on the typewriter, he is not inspired by a situation he is not used to and is hindered. His next-door neighbor, Charlie Meadows, is a talkative salesman and a real middle-class man. Other people who enter Fink's life (like famous screenwriter Mayhew and his girlfriend Audrey) can't help but inspire the young intellectual writer and push the script forward. As the stress reaches its peak, Fink finds himself in a supernatural hell.
