"Child From Heaven" is the latest film from Tariq Saleh, the director of the award-winning 2017 detective film "The Nile Hilton Incident", and is a political thriller focusing on the darker aspects of Egyptian politics. The film tells the story of Adem, the son of a fisherman, who was accepted as a student at Al-Azhar University, traditionally one of the most influential religious centers in Egypt and the Sunni Islamic world. When the university's rector, the influential Grand Imam, dies in front of the students, Adem finds himself in the middle of an espionage web woven with murder and intrigue. The Imam's emptiness causes Egypt's most powerful political and religious centers to be forced into a brutal power struggle, and Adam discovers that he will play an important role in his struggle. "The Child from Heaven" is a gripping political thriller that highlights paranoia, hypocrisy, corruption and faith.
