The sergeant is back from his last deployment. Major John Frost is pleased to arrive a month early and return home for Christmas due to the PTSD incident. He found that his wife Jill and his son Jimmy were too busy to give him the welcome he expected. When he was absent, they adopted a little dog, Charlie. JILL, the owner of JILL'S CAKES AND BAKES, is struggling to pay invoices, has too many holiday parties for the catering business, and forgets an important wedding. John finds comfort with a fellow veterinarian at Moose Lodge, and Hank, a retired Vietnam veteran, is found by Charlie, who had a heart attack, and is a homeless person living in a tent camp with CAPT. John found his purpose to bring together friends, family and community to build a new home for veterinarians and give them a warm Christmas Eve and a new start in civil life.
