Coraline Jones is a curious, adventurous and slightly chubby 11-year-old girl. He just moved from Michigan to Oregon with his family. Losing her friends and fed up with her family's busy work, Coraline tries to find something exciting in her new surroundings. He befriends a boy his age named Wybe Lovat. Together with him, they begin to visit their elderly neighbors. The neighbors they run around include eccentric British actresses Miss Spink and Forcible, and their even more eccentric Russian neighbor, Mr. Bobinsky. After these visits, Coraline began to think that her new surroundings were a very different world. Meanwhile, Coraline discovers a secret door in the house and is confronted with an alternate version of her life and existence as she crosses the door and descends through the mysterious passage. Outwardly, this parallel reality is similar to his own life, but better. Adults, including the Compassionate Other Mother, appear to be more tolerant and warm-blooded. Coraline has now become the center of attention of this world. Even the mysterious cat is very interested in him. He is fed up with this situation. "Do I belong to the Other World, which I have just met, and not to the world as we know it?" He started to question himself. But his fantastic journey to the Other World soon turns into an adventure full of dangers. In particular, he gets in trouble because of the Other Mother's plans to keep him there. After that, Coraline must use her creativity, determination and courage to return home and save her family.
