John McClane is a detective in the New York police department. On Christmas night, he travels to Los Angeles to make amends with his wife, Holly. His wife, Holly, is out for New Year's Eve at a place called Nakatomi Plaza. McClane goes to Nakotomi Plaza to meet Holly. A group of German terrorists surround the Plaza and take the people inside hostage. McClane is freed from the terrorists' hand. Now he has a mission; Rescuing his wife and the hostages inside... The film, which was deemed worthy of four Oscars, made Bruce Willis known worldwide.
