Trying to be a traveling guitarist (El Mariachi), he travels from city to city in Mexico, where he encounters unexpected events in a town he visits. The young mariachi, who lives his life only on tips from the bars he steals, meets the love and curse of his life in the last town he went to. Mariachi's name is never mentioned in the first film of the series, El Mariachi, and in two other films (Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico).
