Set in Sweden in the 1950s, teen Erik is a depressed teenager whose life has become unbearable because of his stepfather's beating. Erik, who was sent to a boarding school away from home with a decision made by his stepfather, sees this as a salvation, but soon realizes that he is not at all what he seems. There is a serious rivalry among the students at the school and an environment has been created where the strong students crush the weak ones. Realizing that he is in a kind of prison where even the teachers are under pressure as much as the students, Erik is facing even more difficult days than the life he left behind.
