Franklyn

One of the most talked about fantasy films of recent times, Franklin moves between two parallel worlds: the City between today's London and that monotonous metropolis dominated by an imaginary future, faith and religious fanaticism. Gulf War veteran, devout Esser searches the dark, homeless streets of London to find her missing rebel son. Milo in his thirties struggles to regain his pure and strong feelings of true love. Attractive and traumatized art student Emilia creates art projects about suicide that balance the fine line between life and death. The only atheist in town, masked maverick Detective Priest, is on the streets for revenge. A single bullet will decide the fate of these four lost souls in the most unexpected way. Close to the world of Terry Gilliam, the film deftly swings between reality and fantasy by weaving a complex script. Gerald McMorrow, who wants to question our perspective on life, love and loss, is already proving his talent with this first film.
