Lieutenant Melanie Ballard leads a police team that delivers criminals to the Martian colonies. When they arrive to try Desperate Williams for murder, they find the entire colony abandoned. While investigating the situation, they discover that the inhabitants of the colony have been possessed by parasitic Martian spirits. The police team and criminals will have to work together to save their lives.
