Good Vibrations
(2012)Good Vibrations 2012
In '70s Belfast, in a time of war chaos when class divisions became clear, the best thing to do would have been to open a record store. Terri Hooley is a radical, rebellious and extremely passionate music lover. When his neighborhood is bombed and political groups block his way, he decides to become a music person. With the support of his young wife Ruth, Hooley's interest in reggae leaves its place to the Belfast punk scene. The film, which reveals the birth of a new music movement, also tells the fluctuating flow of Terri's life through the sound of the music. Good Vibrations not only tells the real life story of Ireland's punk father, Terri Hooley, but also allows us to witness the rise of The Undertones legend.
