An outspoken American journalist, Jim Caviezel, was abducted by the Iranian regime while giving a talk in Cairo, Egypt. He was then taken to the Middle East and tried on false charges. His wife, a State Department official, tried to use her influence to involve the American government until they got her husband back. But he soon realized that the American government would not be involved. So, he had to go to the Middle East to find it himself.
