John Q is a casual family man who works as a factory worker. One day, he learns that his son Mike suddenly became ill during the match, and his whole world collapses with the news he receives in the hospital. His son's heart is three times larger than it should be in a normal person, and a large amount of money is required for its treatment. This situation ends the man inside and he will eventually enter a dangerous path.
