Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a cryptic signal from a mysterious island in the middle of the ocean. Realizing he can't stop him, his stepfather Hank (Dwayne Johnson) pursues clues with adventurer Sean. When helicopter pilot Gabato and his young, beautiful, stubborn daughter Kailani are accompanied on their journey, the team in pursuit of the mysterious island is complete. Opening their eyes on the beach after a tornado storm, the team encounters a paradise-like landscape after discovering the pass. Golden waterfalls, volcanoes, different species and many more secrets await them: along with Sean's grandfather, of course!
