Ben Keller is a clumsy man who falls in love with his co-worker Lucy, whom he has known since childhood. Lucy is not interested in Ben at all, until Ben wins $36 million in the lottery. Ben actually killed the young woman who bought the ticket, but Lucy doesn't realize this secret until they're on their honeymoon. He later realizes that Ben has killed women who look like him. That's why he thinks he's safe. Lucy plans to wait for her next cash check and then run away. Ben knows that Lucy learned about the murders, but despite this, all he wants is for her to fall in love with him. Ben is surrounded by a police detective investigating him and his mother watching everything carefully. Will Lucy be able to escape?
