The passion project of Phill Tippett, the legendary visual effects and stop-motion master with movies like Jurassic Park, Starship Troopers, Star Wars, Robocop, Crazy God is a dark and surreal nightmare set in the world of monsters and mad scientists. Tippett's project, which he started by designing every detail in 1987, made all the puppets and decors by hand and shot the first parts, was brought to light by a group of animation artists, and the artists convinced Tippett to complete the film after 30 years. Thus, the director's passion project was embraced by a team of 60 people and finalized with crowdfunding and made its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. Where the talent and imagination of a true animator meet with countless techniques, every element is handcrafted, Crazy God is an experience that is as mind-opening and awe-inspiring as it is dark.
