Thirteen-year-old Sammy is a teenager dealing with the death of his mother. Going through a tough time, Sammy is caught hurting someone at school. Tired of his behavior, his father sends Sammy to a summer course, and if he fails, he will have to go to a training camp for delinquent youth. Here Sammy meets a grumpy magician named Margot. Sammy, who reluctantly accepts the offer of Margot, who wants him to be his assistant, establishes a different bond with him in the process.
