Mass 2021

Even though we are against each other, is it enough to talk about common pains to understand and forgive each other? Fran Kranz sets off from the Florida Parkland Massacre, which resulted in the deaths of 17 people, and conveys a very deep drama with emotional intensity. Examining concepts such as grief, mourning, and anger, The Meeting tells the story of two families, who were on opposite sides of this disaster, meeting face to face after the massacre that took place in 2018. Kranz says he made this movie to show “how important and powerful a factor in healing is building human bonds.” Making its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, The Meeting is the first film that Fran Kranz, whom we know from many TV series, went behind the camera and wrote and directed the screenplay for.
