Leonard was attacked by a robber and lost his wife, injured his head, and suffered from anterograde amnesia, a memory disorder that only kept his memory for about 10 minutes. He writes notes on his Polaroid photo and chases the criminal, carving tattoos all over his body to hold his memory.
