Betriek lives with her family in a swamp in the Netherlands, away from people. No one can predict what will happen one night when Betriek and her family are suddenly attacked by a stranger they don't know. Unable to understand what happened, Betriek goes to investigate the case. Unraveling another piece of the mystery each time, Betriek finally realizes a payback from the past as she digs deeper. To protect himself and his family, Betriek must find and kill the creature that attacked them. Otherwise, events may develop even more unexpectedly.
