Whitelight tells the story of Rex Cordoba, a young woman counseling a late-stage client who is struggling to let go. She has proven his unique talent in her ability to connect with dying people, but Rex is completely at a loss when it comes to dealing with everyone else. When Valerie, a sharp-tongue free spirit who has no time to die, refuses to obey Rex's rules, Rex questions her decision and asks if the business of dying is really worth it.
