Following the economic collapse of a company town in the countryside of Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs a van and embarks on a path to explore life outside traditional society as a modern nomad. Chloe Zhao's third feature film, NOMADLAND, features real nomads Lindamei, Swanky, and Bob Wells as Fern's mentor and companion exploring the vast landscape of the western United States.
