In film, JR is building some of his monumental projects. The framework follows JR as his admirable work inspires new perspectives through its unifying power in the process of constructing it. As always, his main goal is to turn images of residents of the communities he visits into engaging, immersive art installations. “Can art change the world?” Answering the question by changing our perception of the world, JR turns the lens to his own work in his new film. From the graffiti video shot on the roofs of Paris on the first night to the US-Mexico border, from the slums of Rio de Janeiro to their recent collaboration in a California prison, it documents many different contexts in time and space.
