Young lawyer Paulina leaves her promising career in Buenos Aires and returns to her native town. Despite the objections of her ruling father, the young woman begins to teach at a high school in a rural area. After being brutally attacked by a local gang on her way back from work one night, Paulina realizes that the attackers are closer than she thought.
