In far-flung Western Australia, two estranged brothers, Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton), are at war. The two men work side by side, but the world is far apart, raising a flock of sheep, a descendant of the family's precious pedigree. When Les' prize ram is diagnosed with a rare and deadly illness, authorities order the purge of all sheep in the valley. Colin secretly tries to defeat the power, but Les chooses an angry rebellion. But can the fighting brothers set aside their differences, reunite their families, save their herds, and have the opportunity to bring their communities back together?
