Matilda, the daughter of the Wormwood family, is a very intelligent girl. While her family thinks she's a real troublemaker, according to Matilda, it's the other way around. Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood, who make money by defrauding people, spend their days dozing in front of the television. With the capacity to learn everything on her own, Matilda has to deal with her bad parents at home and the terrible school principal at school. With the support of her classmates and unlimited imagination, Matilda tries to change her destiny.
