Rumble Fish
(1983)Rumble Fish 1983
Rusty James, who spends time in the municipal pool hall, awaits the return of his older brother, Motorcyclist, who has lived in exile in California for many years. The charismatic gang war bike has always been a role model for Rusty. The bike spins, but it doesn't make Rusty any better. Because the era of gang wars is coming to an end and the world is no longer the world where two brothers grew up together. Both outside and inside! The motorcycle knows this, but what about Rusty? Of course, one of Francis Ford Coppola's two films for Zoetrope in the early '80s didn't have one thing in common with Siamese Fish's brother, The Outsider, that they were both based on a SE Hinton novel. In addition to addressing similar sociological themes about youth, both films were like a parade of talented young actors who would become future stars. By shooting this film in black and white, Coppola was creative both in content and aesthetically.
