After settling in Green Hills, Sonic can't wait to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. Dr. Robotnik's test begins when he returns, this time with his new partner Knuckles, in search of an emerald with the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his sidekick Tails and together they embark on a worldwide journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
