Two years roaming the streets as the Batman who strikes fear into the hearts of criminals has plunged Bruce Wayne into the shadows of Gotham City. When a murderer targets Gotham's elite with a string of sadistic intrigues, cryptic clues lead the World's Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters characters like Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin, Carmine Falcone and Edward Nashton / Riddler. As the evidence draws closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the criminal and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
