Shortly before his wedding, Jordan, a talented agent, receives a mysterious envelope. The envelope contains an unconditional offer of union with a stranger in a hotel room. At first finding the proposal amusing, Jordan becomes obsessed with the idea of a secret erotic adventure and impulsively accepts it. But Jordan's meticulous and superficial world begins to collapse under the weight of his lies.
