The Premonition Book, the opening film of the International Critics' Week section of the Venice Film Festival, is a notable debut film produced by Terrence Malick. Carlo S. Hintermann, who is a documentary filmmaker and worked with Malick in the movie The Tree of Life, bridges the past and the future by bringing science and emotional life together in this first fictional film. Starring Charles Dance, who was a guest at the Istanbul Film Festival, and Lotte Verbeek, whom we know from the TV series The Borgias and Outlander, the film, which stands out especially with its visuals, is a timeless book about the lives of a Prussian doctor who did not want to lose his scientificity in the 18th century and a young doctor who questions his own education today.
