Story In the film, which dates back to 1692, five families with secret powers in the Massachusetts Ipswich colony swore an oath of secrecy about their powers. But one of the families succumbs to his ambitions and is driven away by the other four. The children of these families, which date back to the present day, continue their lives as four young students of the Spencer Academy. They are bound together by supernatural powers inherited from their ancestors, and they try to uphold their oath of secrecy.
