Vicky, who lives in a small French village at the foot of the Alps, has a unique talent: she can make the same scents she likes and keep them in carefully labeled jars. When her aunt Julia unexpectedly enters their lives, Vicky smells her too, but this time something unexpected happens and Vicky delves into her aunt's memories and discovers dark secrets. Directed by Léa Mysius after Ava, which was screened at the festival in 2018, Five Devils shot on 35mm pellicle for her “magic” had its world premiere at Cannes in the Directors' Fortnight section. Mysius describes his final film as political as it is fantastic: “This is the story of failed or broken lives; therefore it is also a tragedy”.
