Fred and Barney work for the same company. Barney borrows some money from Fred and adopts a child with his wife, Betty. Meanwhile, Fred and Barney take their promotion exams. Barney exchanges answer sheets with Fred, who he thinks is bad on the exam. As a result, Fred gets a promotion. However, the events do not end there.
