Year 1915 place France. When three men, Constant, Georges and Clovis, living on the Paridier farm go to war, it all falls on the two women. They continue to get along quite well, but when the harvest time comes, they can't handle the work. The mayor recommends a girl named Francine Riant, who is staying at the orphanage. He starts work on the farm and they work very harmoniously together. These will continue until one of the men in the war arrives.
