The Earth has suffered an unexpected alien invasion, and the human race has sadly succumbed to the all-powerful alien race. These aliens, called Wanderers, also have the power to take over people's souls and consciousness without harming their bodies. A handful of people, who were left behind without their consciousness and spirit after the invasion, strive to live without being caught by aliens. Melanie is just one of the very few people left, and she encounters Jared, who, like herself, is still unconquered. A romance soon begins between the two, and then Melanie somehow falls into the hands of the invaders...
