Rejected by her mother and with little choice for her future, Ellis French decides to join the Marine Corps and goes to a training camp. Initially he meets all the physical requirements, but is not successful in hiding his sexual orientation. This makes him the target of trainer Leland Laws and a newbie, Laurence Harvey.
