An old man, who lives in a nursing home for the elderly and is called 'Duke' by the people around him, begins to read a love story written in his yellowing notebook. The story begins in 1940. A 17-year-old girl named Allie Hamilton comes to Seabrook Island in South Carolina. Allie, who is on vacation with her family, begins to get close to a young man named Noah who lives here. Despite the class and economic differences between them, they do not prevent their feelings for each other and start living to the fullest. However, the separation that awaits them is about to come with the escalation of World War II. The movie, in which we watched talented actors of the last period such as Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the lead roles, is one of the movies that brings together war and drama.
