Japanese photojournalist Fukamachi accidentally finds a camera that may belong to Mallory, a famous mountaineer who went missing in 1924. However, a stranger arrives and takes the camera before Fukamachi has a chance to see if the film is still inside. Back in Tokyo, the reporter finds out who the man is.
