The Tragedy of Macbeth tells the story of a Scottish lord who is slowly consumed by his ambition, who, together with his wife, plots against the king to seize the throne after three witches prophesy that he will one day be king of Scotland. Denzel Washington will play Macbeth and Frances McDormand will play Lady Macbeth in the movie. Brendan Gleeson will play Duncan, King of Scotland.
