Following the separation of his parents, a rebellious teenage boy Ben is sent to live with his father for the summer and work at the local marina to gain some kind of discipline. The idyllic tourist town offers him little consolation as he has to deal with local, privileged youth and his dad's new girlfriend. Ben's problems become increasingly disturbing when he makes a chilling discovery about the family who rented the next door house. In the forest, a malevolent spirit has taken over the parents and begins to play an ominous house game, hunt children, and erase their presence.
