Oscar-nominated in the foreign language film category, "Ajami" takes its name from a neighborhood in Jaffa, Israel, where people from different ethnic backgrounds live. In the movie, which starts with a revenge-filled murder, events develop that will lead to a tragic conclusion with the murder of the wrong people. Ajami is a great movie about illegal Palestinians, organized gangs, drug dealers, Bedouin revenge squads, corrupt Israeli police. Also, none of the actors in the movie are professional actors.
