Derek Vineyard was released on parole after serving three years in prison for brutally killing two black men who attempted to break into / steal a truck. Before going to jail through the narration of his brother Danny Vineyard, Derek was a skinhead and L.A. Overall, he is the leader of a violent white supremacist gang who has committed racial criminal activity, and it turns out that his actions have had a major impact on Danny. Reformed and just out of jail, Derek decides to cut off contact with his gang and prevent Danny from following the same violent path as him.
