At the end of the first movie, Taylor and Nova, realizing that they are not on an alien planet but in the future of a devastated world, continue their journey to the Forbidden Zone, and an astronaut named Brent arrives in search of Taylor. He somehow learns that Taylor has disappeared in the Forbidden Zone. In fact, Taylor is being held captive by a group of people living in underground tunnels. These humans, who have developed a strange religion and possess telepathic abilities, are around the apes to invade the Forbidden Zone. There is a very powerful weapon that will end it all, but it all looks like it will lead to the complete destruction of the planet this time.
