The Committee for the Defense of the People, led by Robespierre, carried out many executions and terrorized the country. Learning of this, Danton returned to Paris in November 1973, in connection with the departure of his country. With the support of the people behind him, Danton comes face-to-face with his old allies. However, Robespierre tries to capture Danton and his followers and guillotine them before a revolutionary court. Director Andrzej Wajda, actor Gerard Depardieu and his groundbreaking film Danton have received awards in many countries.
