Film El Conde is a dark comedy/horror film inspired by Chile's recent history. The film revolves around the world fascism symbolized by Augusto Pinochet. Pinochet is portrayed as a vampire hiding in a dilapidated mansion at the cold southern end. He sustains his existence by feeding his appetite for evil. However, after 250 years of life, Pinochet decides to stop drinking blood and give up the privilege of eternal life. He can no longer bear the world remembering him as a thief. Through an unexpected relationship, he finds new inspiration to live with vitality and a counter-revolutionary passion.
