Despite its modest plot, "Fried Green Tomatoes" became one of the hits of 1991. However, this movie with a simple but impressive plot is based on two women who develop friendships in a nursing home. A difficult marriage and middle-aged depression, Evelyn Coach befriends Ninny, whom she met by chance at a nursing home. Every time she visits Ninny, she tells the story of a friendship she witnessed in her youth: Idgie and Ruth, who faced many difficulties in 1920s America when the black-and-white conflict was at its height. Evelyn will be able to overcome her own problems and hold on to life again. Originally called Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, this quirky movie is one of the simple but regular productions.
